The File Chooser Dialog is one of the most frequently used in Java Molecular Editor. It is activated by many menues and other dialogs and used for either opening or saving files. File choosers provide a GUI for navigating the file system, and then either choosing a file or directory from a list or entering the name of a file or directory. A program usually apply one or more file filters to a file chooser so that the chooser shows only some files (for example, only files with with an extension "gjf").
The File Chooser Dialog could provide a list of filters that the user can choose from. When the user chooses a filter, the file chooser shows only those file accepted by that filter.
User can provide his/her own file filter
to display only files with particular extension
